It takes two AAA batteries to operate. I used a similar device many times in high school and college. This talking dictionary can help you a lot in school, especially if english is your second language. This device was allowed to be used in class by most of my teachers since it is not a smartphone.

This is a replacement from the factory and it was not used since got replaced. It gives you synonyms for the translated word and puts that in a sentence. It comes with a carrying case and user manual in both arabic english.
